Equipment Development Manager - Zurich Area

Alex Tosney is recruiting for a Development Engineer to join a High-Tech energy company in the at their site based in the Zurich Area on a permanent basis.

The main purpose of the role will be the management and improvement of current thermal evaporation sources within the source development team. You will support and work closely with the process development and production maintenance teams to improve reliability and control of the process.Further responsibilities will include to:

  • Keep track of all current and newly installed evaporation sources and manage updates and external production of the parts.
  • Co-develop efficient thermal evaporation sources in a small team including problem analysis, simulations, setting up and running experiments on test equipment and finding the right conclusions.
  • Support the construction process by creating CAD designs, requesting offers and initiate and track the ordering process.
  • Assemble and test the new constructions and, if successful, implement them into the production process. You prepare the documentation for proper maintenance (calibration, work instructions, spare part stock).

You will require the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Relevant experience in a similar industry/ function.
  • A relevant qualification in engineering, physics or a related subject.
  • Mechanical engineering, Mechanical workshop experience, CAD design.
  • Thin film deposition, thin film analysis, vacuum technology.

Fluent English and/or German is essential for this vacancy.
