Equipment Development Manager - Zurich Area

Alex Tosney is recruiting for an Equipment Development Manager to join a High-Tech energy company in the at their site based in the Zurich Area on a permanent basis.

The main purpose of the role will be to lead and manage the equipment development team in the development and optimization of large area thin film deposition system for photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing industry.

Further responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical specifications to support supply chain management.
  • Preparation of equipment development roadmap to support the companies current and future product and manufacturing requirements.
  • Evaluation and development of equipment suppliers base to support the companies manufacturing expansion plans and strategic sourcing requirements.
  • Achieve business goals related to timelines, quality, costs, performance and productivity.
  • Taking care of technical documentation and specification of the equipment.In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
  • Experience in leading equipment development teams.
  • Developing hardware technology from a concept stage, through prototyping to high volume manufacturing.
  • Deploying prototyping manufacturing equipment into mass production environment.
  • Mechanical design, precision engineering, vacuum technology, thin film deposition.
  • Bachelor's, Master or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Physics.

Fluent English and/or German is essential for this vacancy.
