Jocelyn Blackham is recruiting for a Global Medical Affairs Director to join a leading pharmaceutical company at their site based Zurich on a contract until the end of March 2023.

Medical Affairs Head Role:

  • Leading the development of scientific communication materials
  • Leads all interactions on project with stakeholders
  • Identifies stakeholders, processes, evidence requirements and other drivers to support licensure and introduction of product
  • Leads all Regional Medical Affairsactivities program including the development / adaptation of the Regional Medical Affairs Strategy and relevant stakeholders from Global Medical Affairs team

Key duties will include:

  • Supporting and working in close collaboration with relevant LOCs (Local Operating Companies) in the implementation of regional and local medical affairs activities, including the set-up and management of a regional network of external clinical and scientific experts which will be instrumental in advising and supporting the introduction of product
  • Supporting the training of regional functional teams and local country affiliate medical staff on products, disease epidemiology and other product related issues to facilitate their launches and to optimize their safe and effective implementation
  • Acting as scientific expert/ advisor to support all EUCAN projects in medical communication

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • MD/PhD with a wealth of medical affairs or clinical development experience in the vaccines or pharmaceutical industry
  • Superior scientific, clinical and managed markets credibility, is articulate, honest, and ethical with high integrity
  • Strong leadership skills: proven track record of collaboration, teamwork, leadership, coaching mentorship, timely decision-making and results orientation
  • Experience and knowledge of vaccine implementation and public health institutionsand practices in and influential in region
  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel to attend meetings with external stakeholders and at office locations, regulatory agency sites, development partners or vendors.
