Jocelyn Blackham is recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a global CRO supporting almost 1000 companies with their analytical needs. This role will be based at our clients site in Visp on a permanent basis.

The main purpose of the role will be to

  • Carrying out biochemical methods (including ELISA, etc.) in a GMP environment
  • Control and release of results
  • Transfer and validation of new methods
  • Supervision and qualification of laboratory equipment
  • Investigation of deviations and unexpected results, troubleshooting
  • Data extraction and evaluation
  • Writing and editing quality-related documents (protocols, reports, etc.)
  • Evaluation and implementation of new techniques in the laboratory as well as optimization ofprojects
  • Supervision of apprentices, training of junior lab assistants

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Industry training (laboratory assistant biology/chemistry) or study in the relevant field
  • Experience in protein analysis (chromatography and/or biochemistry)
  • Experience in working in a GMP environment
  • Experience with IT systems in quality control (e.g. LIMS) would be desirable
  • Strongcommunication skills in English, German would be an advantage
  • High motivation, ability to work under pressure, flexibility and reliability
  • High level of commitment and enthusiasm
