Information Security Officer
Alex Tosney is recruiting for an Information Security Officer to join a start-up research organisation looking to lead the development and adoption of decentralised web technologies and framework. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fully funded start-up organisation in a permanent position to drive the development of blockchain technology.
The main purpose of the role will be to provide security expertise, consultation and coordination in all security related functions, including infrastructure and operations security on strategic and operational levels.
Other duties will include to:
- Help develop and implement security best practices across the company's services and products, and engage with continuous improvement.
- Manage, monitor, and reduce information security risk factors in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- University degree in computer science, or related fields
- Solid background in systems and network security
Experience with infrastructure hardening, cloud security, DevOps, incident response
Experience in implementing information security standards and best practices, such as those published by BSI and NIST
A plus:
- Experience with blockchain technologies
- Security consulting or project-based work experience
