Manufacturing Engineer - Zuchwil
Alex Tosney is recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a company in the Medical Device industry at their site based in Zuchwil on a contract basis until the end of the year.
The main purpose of the role will be to facilitate the integration between the current manufacturer and a new contract manufacturing organisation.
Further responsibilities will include:
- Provides technical support in evaluating continuous improvements to manufacturing operations and implementing new technologies by strategic partners and vendors including development of processes, current and emerging technologies, product design changes, process quality, cost, capacity and capability alternatives
- Review and approval of supplier change requests / technical changes in PLM systems
- Supports the evaluation of assigned manufacturing area in terms of meeting the requirements for quality standards, value chain and compliant documentation, capacity, product availability and cost.
In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering or a related subject , Ph.D in a relevant field is an advantage.
- Project Management training, a qualification would be an advantage.
- Background in Medical Device, high tech or regulated industry preferred.
- Good understanding of Manufacturing technologies, LEAN and Six Sigma Concepts
