Analytical Chemist / Lab Scientist (Biologics QC)

About the Role At CK QLS, we are recruiting an Analytical Chemist / Lab Scientist to join a leading biologics analytical team in Switzerland. This role focuses on GMP-compliant testing and analysis of biologic drug substances within a quality control environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform release, stability, and characterization testing of biologics under GMP/GDP.
  • Support analytical method validation, verification, and transfers.
  • Write technical protocols and reports.
  • Troubleshoot analytical methods and laboratory processes.
  • Conduct protein analysis using electrophoresis and related techniques.
  • Support equipment maintenance, calibration, and qualification.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Document laboratory activities in electronic systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of analytical methods and processes.
Requirements
  • Laboratory Technician qualification or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a scientific field.
  • Experience with capillary electrophoresis, isoelectric focusing, and protein analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with chromatography data systems (e.g. Empower).
  • Experience working in a cGMP environment.
  • Good communication skills in English and German (minimum B1–B2).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of protein biochemistry or biophysical methods.
  • Experience with analytical method validation and transfers.
  • Understanding of biologics analytics.
