EHS Specialist
Job Title: Health & Safety Specialist II (EHS)
Work Location: Lucern (no remote working)
Country: Switzerland
Duration: 6 months (Starting March-2025)
Rate: Up to CHF51.71 (8 hours per day) depending on experience
Your main duties as a Health & Safety Specialist will include:
- Managing specific environmental, health and safety programs and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal rules.
- Developing, implementing and/or updating local EHS policies and procedures aligned with Swiss Regulations and EHS Standards.
- Performing GAP analysis comparing current situations with Swiss regulations and EHS policies and deploy action plans accordingly.
Additional duties will include:
- Ensuring ongoing evaluation of changes in Safety and Environment Regulatory requirements.
- Assess risks linked to the use of machines/installations, processes/workspaces, ergonomics, and personal protective equipment.
- Specify and organize safety & environmental training through third parties, web-based material, and/or self-development and delivery for all relevant stakeholders.
Your Background:
- Degree in an environmental or safety-related technical discipline.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Documented knowledge of Swiss and EU EHS regulations and regulatory framework.
- Proven ability to develop sustainable cooperative professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Skills applying regulatory frameworks such as EKAS, OSHA, ISO, GMP.
Language requirements:
- Fluent in Germany, with good communication skills in English.
