CK QLS is seeking a Senior Specialist in Microbiology to join the Quality Control team at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Schachen. This role supports the production and release of clinical candidates through microbiological testing and environmental monitoring of drug substances and intermediates.
As part of a global microbiology organisation, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio including small molecules, biologics, and vaccines, while helping drive innovation through rapid microbiological methods and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a core member of the Quality Control Microbiology team.
- Review raw data (paper-based and electronic systems) and perform data trending.
- Manage microbiological studies and project activities.
- Author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), validation protocols, and reports.
- Perform laboratory-based microbiological testing.
- Initiate, manage, and close deviation records and change controls.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and new technology implementation.
- Undertake additional responsibilities aligned with experience level.
- MSc in Microbiology (or related field) with at least 1 year of pharmaceutical industry experience OR
- BSc / relevant laboratory apprenticeship with at least 3 years of industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Proven ability to work to deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Experience working in cross-functional team environments.
- Fluency in both German and English.
